Australia Awards Scholarships (AAS)

AUSTRALIA

The Australia Awards Scholarship (AAS) is a prestigious Australian government scholarship designed to support the development of partner countries. It offers postgraduate (Master’s and PhD) scholarships to future leaders, enabling them to study, research, and develop professionally in Australia. The program also aims to foster long-lasting ties between Australia and the global community.

Eligibility:

  • Be a minimum of 18 years of age at the time of commencing the scholarship
  • Not be married, engaged or a de facto of a person who holds, or is eligible to hold, Australian or New Zealand citizenship or permanent residency, at any time during the application, selection or mobilisation phases of the scholarship
  • Not be currently serving military personnel
  • Not be a citizen of Australia, hold permanent residency in Australia or be applying for a visa to live in Australia permanently
  • Not have previously received a long-term Australia Award in the previous four years

Application Procedure :

  • Refer to your relevant participating country profile for the link to the application portal. Please note that Indonesia and the Philippines do not use the Online Australia Scholarships Information System (OASIS). The link to applications for those countries can be found in their relevant Country Profile.
  • When you register online, you will be required to answer some questions to establish your eligibility. You will then be given a unique registration number, username and password.
  • You do not need to submit your application immediately. You can set up a draft application form and update it, and your supporting documentation, until the designated closing date as on the relevant participating country profile.
  • Once submitted, your application cannot be changed. We strongly advise applicants applying online to do so well before the closing date. OASIS experiences peak usage in the days leading up to the closing date and applicants may experience delays.

Application Procedure :

Zoom interviews and/or additional essay submissions will be required for AU EGL semi-finalists and finalists.
