About ASEAN Undergraduate Scholarship

The ASEAN Undergraduate Scholarship is offered by the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) for citizens or permanent residents from the Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN), except Singapore. 

Eligibility

  1. Singapore Permanent Residents or Citizens from the ASEAN countries (except Singapore).
  2. Successful awardees should read a full-time undergraduate degree programme leading to a first degree, with the exception of Renaissance Engineering Programme.
  3. Possess outstanding Singapore-Cambridge GCE ‘A’ level, Diploma awarded by a polytechnic in Singapore, NUS High School Diploma, IB Diploma or Year 12 equivalent qualifications.
  4. Excellent co-curricular records.
  5. Strong leadership qualities and potential.

Benefit

  1. Full coverage of subsidized tuition fees (after Tuition Grant​).
  2. Living allowance of S$5,800 per academic year.
  3. Accommodation allowance of S$3,000 per academic year
  4. One off computer allowance of S$1,750
  5. No bond is attached to the ASEAN Undergraduate Scholarship apart from the three-year bond applicable to all Singapore PRs and international students under the MOE Tuition Grant Scheme.

Application Procedure

Applicants with the following qualifications:

  1. The scholarship application form can be found at the link ‘Apply for Scholarship’ at the end of your online application for admission. You are required to login with the application number assigned to you.
  2. Applicants are required to submit the following after completing your application form:
    -Upload a recent passport-size photo (digital image).
    -Submit a referee’s appraisal online

 Applicants with Year 12 equivalent results:

  1. Apply the scholarship with your assigned application number before the application closing date for that qualification. The scholarship application period is the same as the admission application period. Applications submitted after the closing date will not be considered.
    -As part of completing the form, a Personal Essay of not more than 300 words Is required. The 3 topics you may write on are shown in the scholarship application form.
  2. After completing your application form, applicants are required to submit the following:
    -upload a recent passport-size photo (digital image).
    -submit a referee’s appraisal online.
