Aichi Scholarship Program

The Aichi Prefectural Government provides scholarships to talented students from outside of Japan. Students are encouraged to find work at Aichi companies after they finish their studies.

  1. Living allowance of 150,000 yen (± IDR 18.9 million) per month.
  2. Airfare from Indonesia to Japan.
  3. Coverage of entrance examination fees, admission fees, and tuition fees for Master’s or Research studies
  1. Nationality: Applicants must be citizens and residents of one of the designated Asian countries, including Indonesia.
  2. Age: Applicants must be under 35 years old as of April 1, 2019 (born on or after April 2, 1984).
  3. Must hold a bachelor’s degree or be expected to graduate by the end of March 2019.
  4. Field of Study: Applicants must choose a master’s program relevant to and supportive of the manufacturing industry in Aichi.
  5. Health: Applicants should have good physical and mental health.
  6. Japanese Language Proficiency:
    -While applicants do not need to have Japanese language skills at the time of application, they should demonstrate a willingness to learn Japanese before starting their studies.
  7. Employment Intent: Applicants should express a desire to seek employment with companies located in Aichi Prefecture, Japan.
  8. Internship Requirement: During the first year of their master’s program, participants must participate in an internship at a company introduced by the Aichi Prefectural Government.
  9. No Concurrent Scholarships: Applicants must not be receiving any other scholarships or financial assistance from other organizations, including Japanese Government scholarships or Indonesian Government scholarships. Additionally, spouses of applicants should not be receiving scholarships from Aichi Prefecture.
  10. Arrival in Japan: Participants must arrive in Japan before October 2019.
  11. Acceptance as Research Student: Must be accepted as a research student at a university or graduate school located in Aichi between October 2019 and March 2020.
  12. Health Insurance: Upon arrival in Japan, participants must obtain national health insurance.
